Our Centre

  • We are a not for profit, community based centre that provides Before and After School Care for the children of Epping North Public School and Vacation Care for the wider community. Our centre is managed and run by a voluntary parent committee. We are an approved centre, which gives parents the ability to access Child Care Subsidy (CCS) as a fee reduction.

We constantly strive to provide the best quality of care for the children who attend our centre by providing a fun and interactive weekly program in a caring and nurturing environment. We have a team of dedicated staff who are both experienced and passionate about working with children.

Our service meet National Quality Standards. The NQS sets a high national benchmark for early childhood education and care in Australia. It includes 7 quality areas that are important outcomes for the children.

ENOSHCP acknowledge and pay respect the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of the land where we live, learn and work.”

  • At Epping North OSHCP we pride ourselves on providing an integral service to the North Epping and surrounding Community. We welcome all students and their families, striving to create a positive and respectful environment for those at our centre. We celebrate our cultural diversity and the value it brings to our centre and community.

ENOSHCP is dedicated to teaching key social skills through a play-based curriculum that responds to all children’s needs and interests. We encourage our Educators to share their unique personal skills and interests with the centre to engage with and guide the children’s development. The children are free to explore the environment and engage in activities that they find meaningful to them in order to develop a sense of autonomy and ownership as well as promote confidence in themselves and their abilities.

We are strong advocates for the rights and safety of our children and aim to provide an enriching environment which fosters curiosity and diverse playing experiences. We pride ourselves on being a team of professional educators that act as positive role models to nurture the children into becoming valued members of our community. We uphold and support our school’s values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience and endeavour to instil these values into the program and centre.

As educators, our focus is on inclusivity, ensuring all children’s needs are met while supporting them in creating a program that aligns with the My Time Our Place learning framework. We aim to build genuine and collaborative relationships with the children and their families to ensure all voices are heard and contribute to the centre in meaningful ways.

Before & After School Care

Epping North OSHCP is a well establish centre we have been running since 1989. Epping North OSHCP is located on the school ground of Epping North Public School, we are open for Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care. We have been assessed as Meeting in Quality Standards and are licensed for 110 children each day. We are guided by the My Time Our Place learning framework, this allows us to provide an enriching program completed weekly off the children’s interests, strengths and needs. We also get input from children of what activities, games and resources they want to see at the centre. We provide a range of heathy meals based on information from the Australian Dietary Guidelines 2013. We cater to children with special dietary requirements and additional needs.

Vacation Care

Our Vacation Care Program runs 40 weeks of the School year we are closed two weeks over the Christmas and New year period. In the lead up to planning our Vacation Care bookings we ask children and families for suggestions for what what they would like on the program, this helps us maintain children and family input to ensure we are providing a fun engaging program based off the interest. We do a variety of excursion and incursions and theme days throughout our Vacation Care program.

Epping North Out of School Hours Care acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which our school resides, the Wallumedegal people of the Darug Nation, and the Terramerragal people Guringai nation. We pay our respect to elders past and present.
