Help shape the future of Epping North OSHCP

Epping North Out of School Hours Care Program is more than a service. We are an incorporated association, a not-for-profit centre run by parents and carers at Epping North Public School, for the benefit of our children, families and school community.

Our role as a Management Committee is simple but important: we help keep the service running smoothly, responsibly and sustainably, so that our dedicated and talented team of educators can do what they do best, deliver high-quality care for our children.

Now we are asking for more parents and carers to join us.

The commitment is what you make it. For some committee members, it may be as little as two hours per term to attend our meetings. For others, it may be an opportunity to contribute professional skills, fresh ideas, practical support or a passion for strengthening our school community. Every contribution matters.

At our AGM, all committee positions are spilled and re-elected. Our current committee is:

President: Gemma Quinn
Vice President: Stephanie Findlay
Secretary: Sarah St Quintin
Treasurer: Yvonne Huang

We are also looking for general committee members, and this year we are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may be interested in stepping into the Treasurer role.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Yvonne Huang, who has served as Treasurer for the past three years. Yvonne has invested an enormous amount of time, care and expertise into the service, and we simply would not have been able to achieve what we have without her.

We also warmly thank our general committee members, Smita and Paurush Singh, for their contributions over the past year. Their involvement and perspectives have enriched our service and strengthened the work of the committee.

As some members now step back, we are putting the call out for more parents and carers to get involved.

You do not need to be an expert in education and care. You do not need to know everything about governance. You just need to care about our children, our service and our school community. We will support you, and you can contribute in a way that fits your capacity.

Come along to our AGM to learn more about our plans for the year ahead, our investment in the service and the school, and how we continue to meet the responsibilities of operating in a complex and evolving education and care landscape. Or just come along to meet other parents, hear what is happening, ask questions and be part of something genuinely valuable.

Our OOSH (OSHC) exists because families before us stepped up to keep it strong. Now it is our turn to carry that forward.

Please join us at the AGM, consider nominating for the committee, or contact us to learn more, particularly if you are interested in the Treasurer role. We would love to have you involved.
